A Slam Poet in the Kavumu Refugee Camp of Burundi

SIf Ideas Box can provide access to resources and quality content, it can also help promote creativity in refugee populations. Thus the Ideas Box allowed Doum's, a slam poet, to create and lay out his creations in the Kavumu refugee camp in Burundi.


LWB presents the Ideas Box in France during IFLA’s 80th Congress in Lyon

Libraries Without Borders was in Lyon, France earlier this week to present the Ideas Box during IFLA's 80th Congress and General Assembly. The exhibition took place from August 17-19, 2014, at the Lyon Convention Center, where the Congress was held. The LWB team was honored to inaugurate the exhibition under the patronage of Gérard Collomb, the Mayor of Lyon. The ceremony took place Sunday, August 17 at 5:30 pm.


Ideas Box Display at French Diplomacy Event

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, a partner of Libraries Without Borders, invited LWB to display the Ideas Box during their week-long networking event for partnerships in cultural action. The event took place at the Ministerial Conference Center in Paris from July 16-18 and brought together various directors and partners of economic diplomacy as well as educational and cultural organizations in France.
