The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, a partner of Libraries Without Borders, invited LWB to display the Ideas Box during their week-long networking event for partnerships in cultural action. The event took place at the Ministerial Conference Center in Paris from July 16-18 and brought together various directors and partners of economic diplomacy as well as educational and cultural organizations in France.
The theme for the event this year was innovation. Annick Girardin, the French Secretary of State for Development in Francophone countries, was in attendance at the event and was able to visit the Ideas Box exhibition with Jérémy Lachal (Executive Director of LWB France, right in above photo) accompanying her.
During this week-long event, participants were able to see the Ideas Box on its shipping pallet, ready to be sent to any area in the world where refugees need help. Event-goers were also able to explore the kit’s various modules that have tablets, e-readers, books, games, and other types of content that they could see and try out.
Patrick Weil (LWB President, far right in photo) gave a speech during the event in which he presented the Ideas Box and its features.
